User Agreement

Effective September 13, 2026

This agreement is between you and Boardstate LLC, operated at boardstate.gg ("we", "us"). Boardstate builds tools that improve player, spectator, streamer, and organizer experiences, to help people share our love of trading card games and make learning them more accessible. This agreement covers our Twitch extension and associated streamer capture tools (together, "the service").

By installing or using the service, you agree to these terms.

What the service is

The extension lets Twitch viewers hover over cards in a live stream to see full card details. It reads the broadcast to recognize cards. It cannot see into or affect the game, and it only shows information already visible in the video.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the service. We may update, change, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Using it responsibly

You control activation. The extension appears on a channel only after its broadcaster installs and enables it.
Keep your pairing code private. It links a capture setup to your channel.
Do not interfere with, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the service, and do not use it to mislead viewers.

Card content

Card names, artwork, and game content shown by the service belong to their respective owners. Boardstate displays them to help viewers follow a public broadcast and claims no ownership of them.

Not affiliated

Boardstate is an unofficial community tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, UVS Games, or Twitch.

No warranty

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Card recognition is automated and can be wrong or unavailable. We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Boardstate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us to use it.

Stopping service

You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access for anyone who violates this agreement.

Changes

If this agreement changes, the new version will appear at this address with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
